MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging)

MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) scans use strong magnetic fields and radio waves to create detailed images of the inside of the body. This non-invasive and painless diagnostic tool has many benefits for patients, including the ability to detect abnormalities that might be missed by other imaging techniques.

Advanced Soft Tissue Imaging

MRI scans are particularly useful for imaging soft tissues such as the brain, spinal cord, heart, and blood vessels, as well as detecting cancer, injuries, and infections.
=

Non-ionizing Radiation

MRI scans do not use ionizing radiation, making them a safe choice for patients who may need frequent imaging studies.

MRI Process

Patients are made to lie in a scanning machine resembling a tunnel, which is open at both ends. Given the enclosed space and time required, patients need to be aware of this prior to the scan being undertaken.
